PixelSat

Software across a student-built CubeSat, from flight firmware to the ground station.

The stack is Rust, STM32 flight firmware through the ground station. I write code across it: flight software, comms, and ground station, including a TinyGS webhook that decodes packets, stores them, and streams downlink live over WebSockets.

The V0.1 solver replanning while the target moves across the 2026 field.

02

Valence

Task-level control for FRC. Drivers issue an intent; the robot handles execution.

Limelight vision into a Kalman filter, then an MPC solver that replans ten times a second. Runs on an Orange Pi 5 and talks to the roboRIO over NetworkTables. Solver and sim are done; the project is paused before IO.

Idaho Regional 2026, Qualification 37.

03

Robot tracking from match video

Each robot on an FRC broadcast, with the path it drove drawn on the footage.

A detector follows the robots. Four wall lines set the field; bumper color filters out referees.

04

FRC match prediction

78.8% accuracy against Statbotics at 74.4% (p = 0.007).

Walk-forward validation, no lookahead bias. Held up across eighteen rounds of feature and model work. Current work is team-strength embeddings for alliance selection.

The controller clearing a path, moving a piece, and homing.

05

Self-playing chessboard

Built with Logan Vimalaraj.

A gantry under the board moves a magnet so the pieces play themselves.

Stockfish picks the move. An ESP32 runs the motors.

06

SWE intern, stealth startup

Summer 2026. Voice analysis next to an existing audio pipeline.

Transcribe a recording, then measure how it was said: pace, pitch, pauses, emotion, stress. Recordings library, job queue, timeline dashboard, and a weekly report loop over real sessions.
